' I was furious that Adele waited so last minute to make this call,' she told the BBC.
Adele has postponed her entire Las Vegas residency, just 24 hours before the opening night.
"i'm so sorry, but my show ain ’ t ready," the singer announced in an instagram video posted on thursday ( 20 january ).
"half my crew and team are down with covid and still are, and it's been impossible to finish the show," she added.
tickets ranged from $ 85 ( £60 to £500 ), and adele was forecast to make more than £500,000 per performance.
Adele also apologised to fans who had already arrived to Las Vegas for the opening weekend.
'The people with first weekend show tickets may not be able to afford the time or money to reschedule something like this. '
Fieri tweeted : "It's my birthday and I am on an airplane right now using the last of my vacation time for a whole year to see you along with some non-refundable deposits and a week of babysitting ... I ’ m sad you couldn ’ t decide this until the last minute."
another said : "same tears when she cancelled our wembley tickets, still waiting for the rescheduled concert for her uk fans.
The star was previously forced to cancel the final two dates of her previous tour, at Wembley Stadium in 2017 after damaging her vocal cords.
at the time, it was announced that tickets for the cancelled shows would be rescheduled, but the las vegas review-journal speculated that they could begin again in april.
However, others commended the singer for being honest with her fans and asked Adele to go easy on herself.
The singer was originally expected to perform 24 shows on the weekends at Caesars Palace, beginning on 21 January until 16 April.
Last year, Adele's new album 30 became 2021 ’ s best-selling album in the US three days after it was released.
"i'm so sorry, but my show ain't possible.
She was due to play the first of 24 concerts at the Caesars Palace's Colosseum on Friday.
Announced late in November, the Weekends With Adele series was scheduled to have the singer performing two shows every weekend until April.
fans of the 33-year-old singer had shelled out up to $ 30,000 for resale tickets for the eagerly-anticipated show- her first live concerts in five years.
Along with two dates in London's Hyde Park this summer, they are the only shows she has announced to promote her blockbuster fourth album, 30.
Speaking on Instagram, Adele said she had been "awake for 30 hours" trying to rescue the production, but had simply "run out of time".
' I'm gutted — I'm sorry it's so last minute, we 've been awake for over 30 hours trying to figure it out and we 've run out of time,' she continued, as her voice started to break.
' I'm so upset and I'm really embarrassed and so sorry to everyone that traveled to get [ to the show ].
she added : 'we 're going to reschedule all the dates, we 're on it right now, and i'm gon na finish my show and get it to where it's supposed to be.
we 've been up against so much and it just ain't ready."
But some are facing losing hundreds of dollars from flight and hotel bookings.
Gillian Rowland-Kain, 32, was already on her flight to Las Vegas from New York for Friday's opening night show when she found out about the cancellation via social media.
"I recognise it's not a call any artist wants to make but she would 've known yesterday that the show wouldn't be ready by tomorrow.
'Her lack of notice is astounding.
Ms Rowland-Kain, who is from Brooklyn and travelling to Vegas with her twin sister, added that while she recognised the impact of Covid, the last-minute cancellation felt "like a slap in the face".
josh chavis, from kansas city, says his wife heather paid nearly $ 1,800 for her hotel and flights to vegas for a show this weekend.
he said even adele announcing it a few days sooner 'would have made all the difference' in terms of refunds.
"we recognise that things are hard for everyone, but this is a huge misstep on the part of both the performer and those responsible for putting the show together. '
While Adele has apparently been beset by production problems and illness within her crew, other Vegas shows have been running as normal.
It is not clear why a 14-day COVID outbreak would postpone a multimillion-dollar show for months.
'It's too unpredictable, with all the rules and stuff,' she said.
'This breaks my heart, for you and for me,' tweeted Amy Campbell, a medical professional in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
“ we ’ ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and covid.
The residency ran from 2003-2007.
A spokesman for Caesars said : 'We understand the disappointment surrounding the postponement of WEEKENDS WITH ADELE.
Creating a show of this magnitude is incredibly complex.
Its first single, Easy On Me, broke records upon its release, becoming Spotify's most-streamed song in a single day.
She joins a lineage of artists including Elvis Presley, Celine Dion and Britney Spears to take up the Vegas mantle.
In 2017 she revealed to a stadium audience in New Zealand that "touring isn ’ t something I ’ m good at … I don ’ t know if I will ever tour again".
